Water Damaged Ceiling Repair in Norwalk, Done Right
A homeowner in Norwalk called us after noticing a brown stain spreading across the ceiling near a recessed light fixture. Water had come through the roof at some point, and the stain was the proof left behind. Nobody wants to look up and see that in their own home. They wanted to know if it was still wet, if it was safe, and how to make it look right again.

What We Found on Arrival
The first thing we did was check the ceiling itself, not just paint over the problem. We needed to know if there was any moisture still trapped behind the surface before doing any repair work. Once we confirmed the area was dry, we knew we could move forward with the fix.
The stain had settled in around the recessed light fixture, which is common. Water tends to travel and pool wherever there's a gap or fixture in the ceiling, and that's usually where the damage shows up first.
What We Did
With the ceiling confirmed dry, we got to work on the repair itself. We applied joint compound over the damaged area to smooth out the surface, then sanded it down once it dried. After that, we primed the whole section to seal the stain and give the paint something clean to grab onto. Only then did we apply the finish coat.
We treat every ceiling repair the same way we'd treat the walls in a full
